The biggest mistake is perhaps to consider what appears real.

Some stop at what appears, others go further. And about this, Socrates was a great teacher. The presumptuous stop at what “appears”, the humble go in search of what “is”, so they try to go further.

As we listen carefully, we discover that some interests fall and others arise; this is just what makes us take the desired path. And, the more we genuinely listen to ourselves, the more the Spirit comes forward.

In the end, it’s kind of like if you die a little in one direction, you are reborn in another. In the end, it’s quite simple. The more we try to understand who we are, the more we find out, and the more we use ourselves well.

When you are in a specific situation, it is good for you to study it, see what the viable alternatives are, evaluate them, and choose the preferred one.

Often, some are attached to their own beliefs, thinking that they are right. What happens when they are wrong?

This is what happens when we create delusions. Should a delusion collapse, no matter how painful, we should be happy since this shows us reality; it certainly is much more solid to build something on.

In other words, to give a simple example, is it better to delude yourself that you are healthy or to know that you are sick?

And also, is it better to delude yourself that you are on the right path (which, therefore, is imagined to lead to the desired goal) or to know that you are on the wrong path (which, therefore, is known not to lead to the desired goal)?
